About Our ShoeBox Project
Kannia Foundation’s Shoebox Project is a programme which is targeted at putting smiles on the faces of the deprived. The project is a way of expressing compassion, kindness and inspiring resiliency, strength and hope in deprived communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The contents of our shoebox vary depending on the need we want to meet and the sponsorship we receive from our sponsors. When the shoebox is going to be distributed to children, the content is always packed with items that would benefit children.

The content of the shoeboxes for children usually includes learning and playing materials like story books, pencils, pens, crayons, toys and other children related products. When the shoebox donation is going for whole community, then the content of the adult shoeboxes are stocked with items that would benefit adults.
About Our Emergency Relief

Kannia Foundation also provides emergency relief to people in need, when there is a disaster within the sub-region. Beyond providing immediate emergency resource such as food, water, and basic necessities, we also assist deprived communities with long-term aid.
Our approach is that, we identity a need in a community and raise the necessary resource to meet that need. Some communities lack social amenities like, clean drinking water, schools, hospitals and many more. When we identify such needs, we mobilize resources to meet the need.
